ASC Signal Corp. of Plano, Texas, said Jan. 31 that it has been awarded a $1 million contract for the first three phases of an effort to build as many as 100 fixed 3.7-meter tracking antenna systems to communicate with the U.S. Department of Defense’s Wideband Global Satcom constellation in the X-band frequency.
ASC said in a press release that it has shipped more than 3,000 identical 3.7-meter antennas around the world for commercial and defense applications.
