The Board of Directors of Arianespace met on Friday, January 31, 2003, in Evry,France. They noted the conclusions of the Inquiry Board established after Flight 157 and the actions that will lead to improving the overall efficiency of the Ariane system.
The Board of Directors then approved Arianespace’s decision to order more Ariane 5 “Generic” launch vehicles, in addition to those now in production. This will enable the company to meet market requirements and continue to give customers reliable, proven launch services.
With this decision, Arianespace will be able to ensure the continuity of its launch services.
