Jim Albaugh, the longtime head of Boeing Integrated Defense Systems, will take over as president and chief executive of the company’s commercial airplane business, Chicago-based Boeing announced Aug. 31. He replaces Scott Carson, who is retiring at the end of the year.
Dennis Muilenburg will succeed Albaugh as president and chief executive of Boeing Integrated Defense Systems of St. Louis, which oversees the company’s government and commercial space business. Albaugh has served in that position since 2002.
Muilenburg, 45, previously served as president of the global services and support unit of Boeing Integrated Defense Systems.
