Middle Eastern satellite television broadcaster Al Jazeera has booked new capacity aboard the Eutelsat 7 West A satellite to expand its reach across Northwest Africa as far as Morocco and Nigeria, Eutelsat said in a March 1 press release.
Broadcasts over the satellite, which began service in October at 7 degrees west longitude, have begun with nine channels, Eutelsat said. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
