VICE PRESIDENT MIKE PENCE TO HOST FIRST MEETING OF THE NATIONAL SPACE COUNCIL
On Thursday, October 5, Vice President Mike Pence will host the first meeting of the National Space Council at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Virginia. The meeting will bring together all aspects and sectors of the national space enterprise for the first time in a quarter century. “Leading the Next Frontier: An Event with the National Space Council” will include testimonials from expert witnesses who represent the sectors of the space industry: Civil Space, Commercial Space, and National Security Space.

8:00am–8:15am: Media with hand-held equipment or no equipment must arrive on site
7:45am-9:45am: A security sweep will take place at this time
8:30am-9:45am: Doors open to attendees
10:00am: National Space Council meeting begins
After the meeting, press will be permitted to remain on site for live shots.
Media Location Directions and Logistics:
Press pre-set entrance:
Volunteers will be on site to assist with directions and parking. Media should park in the main parking lot of the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center.
Cable entrance: Cables should run through the northeast emergency exit door.
Press should enter through the museum’s main entrance.
Sat trucks: Satellite trucks should park on the north side of the building. Reserved space will be made available.
Camera throw: *50 feet*
Cable run: *800 feet*
Provided on site: Mult-box, power, Wi-Fi, and TV quality lighting will be available.
