Centennial, Colo., (June 5, 2012) – United Launch Alliance (ULA) announced today that David K. Lang has been appointed as vice president and Chief Financial Officer, replacing Joe Potter who retired after serving as ULA’s CFO since the formation of the company in December 2006.

In this position, he will provide leadership to the finance organization that provides comprehensive financial services to the ULA program office and enterprise customers. “We could not be more pleased to have Dave join our leadership team” said Michael Gass, ULA president and CEO. “He brings with him more than 30 years of business management experience in the aerospace and defense industry.”

Prior to joining ULA, Lang served as the CFO for Boeing’s Integrated Logistics Division, a part of Global Support & Services. He began his career with McDonnell Douglas in 1979 and has held increasingly responsible financial leadership positions for businesses and programs such as Network & Tactical Systems Division, Combat Systems Division, F-15 and C-17.

Lang received a Masters of Business Administration from Southern Illinois University and is a graduate of the Boeing Executive Development Program.

ULA program management, engineering, test, and mission support functions are headquartered in Denver, Colo. Manufacturing, assembly and integration operations are located at Decatur, Ala., and Harlingen, Texas. Launch operations are located at Cape Canaveral AFS, Fla., and Vandenberg AFB, Calif.
