Broadcast Facilities Inc. has acquired the satellite services division of Atlanta-based Crawford Communications Inc. in a stock transaction that includes Crawford’s teleport, satellite uplink trucks, production facilities and other assets, the companies announced Jan. 21.
Crawford provides services to major U.S. television networks as well as to U.S. government clients including NASA, the Department of Defense and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Broadcast Facilities was established in 2008 to acquire broadcast media assets in the United States, Asia and Europe. Its other principal asset is the Andrita Media Center in Los Angeles, which it acquired April 2008.
