MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (“MDA” or the “Company”) (TSX: MDA), a provider of essential information solutions, announced today that it has been awarded a contract valued at CA$2.6 million from NASA’s Johnson Space Center to extend its support of the Robotic Work Station on the International Space Station.
The Robotic Work Station is the control station used to operate Canadarm2 and plays an essential role in the capture and berthing of re-supply vehicles visiting the space station.
The contract runs through September 2013 and includes two one-year options.
