Satellite services provider Artel, LLC of Herndon, Virginia, has selected Paul B. Domorski interim president and chief executive officer. He replaces Ted Hengst, who, according to a company press release, has decided to pursue other interests.
“On behalf of Artel’s Board of Directors, I would like to express our deepest appreciation for Ted’s strong leadership and integrity, his exceptional contributions to the success of the company and his dedication to its customers, employees and partners,” Artel Chairman Steve Kappes said in a statement.
Domorski has a long history as an executive with technology companies. Most recently, he was chairman, president and chief executive of PAR Technology Corp., which provides solutions in the hospitality industry. He also was president and chief executive of EMS Technologies Inc.
Domorski is credited with creating British Telecom (BT) Syncordia Solutions, now BT Ignite Solutions, a network management, outsourcing and applications company. He also held executive positions at Avaya Corp. and Unisys Corp.
“Growth, value creation and strategic change, have been the foundation of Paul’s career and will be instrumental in supporting Artel’s future growth strategy,” Kappes said in a statement.
