MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX: MDA), a provider of essential information solutions, announced today that it has signed multi-year contracts totalling over $1 million (CAD) to supply oil field monitoring products to a leading integrated oil company.
MDA will apply advanced RADARSAT-2 high-resolution surveillance capabilities that include a large collection capacity and high accuracy to detect subtle surface changes, independent of weather, and over the entire oil fields. Early detection of surface movement allows the company to enhance production and mitigate environmental risks in their oil fields. MDA will also provide analytical reports that compare historical movement to the current situation.
