Dr Vaclav Klaus, President of the Czech Republic, accompanied by his wife, Mrs Livia Klausova and senior officials of the Republic visited ISRO Satellite Centre this morning (November 10, 2005). The visiting dignitaries were received by Dr K N Shankara, Director, ISRO Satellite Centre. They were briefed on the Indian space programme and shown around the centre including the satellite integration laboratory, thermovac test chamber and the space exhibition.

The Czech President lauded the achievements of India under its space programme, especially, in the applications of space technology for various developmental tasks.

Shri P S Raghavan, Indian Ambassador in Prague and his wife, Smt Barbara Raghavan accompanied the dignitaries.
