GenCorp has named Eileen Drake as its chief operating officer, the rocket propulsion provider announced March 2. The appointment took effect immediately.
Prior to her appointment at GenCorp, Drake was president of the auxiliary power unit and small turbojet propulsion business at Pratt & Whitney AeroPower, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. She was also vice president of several United Technologies divisions and managed production operations at Ford Motor Co. and Visteon Corp.
Drake served as a U.S. Army aviator and the airfield commander of Davison Army Airfield at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
“Her extensive experience in positioning organizations for growth and increased profitability will be of great benefit as we work to advance our company’s efficiency, innovation and value in an increasingly competitive global marketplace,” Gencorp President and Chief Executive Scott Seymour said in a statement.
