MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd.
(TSX: MDA), a provider of essential information solutions, announced today
that it expects to receive over $3 million CDN from several long-standing
defence clients for RADARSAT-1 information. MDA will renew agreements with two
undisclosed RADARSAT-1 international customers, and meet the information needs
of a U.S. agency.

RADARSAT-1 acquires data regardless of light or weather condition,
provides frequent re-visit imaging options, and is supported by ground
receiving stations that provide near real-time information delivery services.
This versatility makes RADARSAT-1 a reliable source of information in
multi-faceted intelligence surveying and monitoring programs.

RADARSAT-1 data supports several intelligence needs such as mapping and
3-D terrain modeling, target detection and change-in-activity monitoring.
