MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd.
announced today that the company’s U.S. Information Systems
subsidiary, Dynacs Inc., has received a contract from NASA’s Johnson Space
Center to provide software enhancements for NASA’s Flight Mechanics Lab. The
contract is valued at $1.5 million (U.S.), or $2.3 million (CDN).
Dynacs will provide the research and development necessary to construct
the Advanced Data Manipulation and Visualization system that will enable NASA
to do 3-D visualizations and 3-D animations of certain data for deep space and
near-Earth missions.
