NASA Johnson Space Center intends to use stimulus money to hire outside help formulating human-rating requirements for the agency’s commercial crew development initiative, according to an April 7 announcement on NASA’s procurement Web site.
NASA plans to add a task to Wyle’s bioastronautics contract “to provide updates to an initial set of Commercial Human Systems Integration requirements, to deliver a Commercial Medical Requirements Document for use in commercial crew transportation services, and to deliver a set of design processes to provide guidance for commercial spacecraft designers,” the announcement said.
