Com Dev USA will provide filters and switches for NASA’s TDRS-M tracking and data relay satellite under a contract with Boeing Space and Intelligence Systems valued at $12 million, Com Dev announced June 28.
El Segundo, Calif.-based Com Dev USA, a subsidiary of Com Dev of Canada, provided similar gear to Boeing, also of El Segundo, for the TDRS-K and TDRS-L satellites.
NASA’s Tracking and Data Relay Satellite system provides communications links between low-orbiting satellites and launch vehicles and their ground controllers using S-, Ku- and Ka-band bandwidth.
