NASA Dryden Chief McBride Drops ‘Acting’ from His Title

David McBride was named Jan. 5 the director of NASA’s Dryden Flight Research Center, a job he has held in an acting capacity since succeeding Kevin Petersen in April 2009.

Prior to that, McBride was Dryden’s deputy director. He began his career at the Edwards, Calif.-based flight center in 1982 as a cooperative education student specializing in digital flight control systems analysis.
