Imaging satellite operator DigitalGlobe will be relocating its corporate headquarters from Longmont, Colo., to nearby Broomfield in a move that also will consolidate its operations in the area, the company announced Sept. 29.

The new campus, in Broomfield’s North Park development, is expected to open in 2015, DigitalGlobe said. It will consolidate four DigitalGlobe office locations in Colorado, the company said.

DigitalGlobe in January closed its acquisition of rival GeoEye, which had multiple facilities including at least one in the Denver area. DigitalGlobe said it will continue to maintain offices in Herndon, Va., the site of GeoEye’s headquarters; Tampa, Fla.; London; Singapore; and in other places.

DigitalGlobe also will maintain a presence in Longmont for an unspecified period of time.
