UPDATE: ZERO GRAVITY CORP HAS CANCELLED THIS FLIGHT

Guests to Experience Zero Gravity with Astronaut Whose Weightless Adventures Inspired the World

Travel Agents Earn 10 Percent Commission on ZERO-G Platinum Flight Sales

LAS VEGAS – August 14, 2008 – Zero Gravity Corporation (ZERO-G(R)), the first and only FAA-approved provider of commercial weightless flights, will host its exclusive ZERO-G Platinum Experience in Las Vegas on Sunday, August 17. The intimate ZERO-G Platinum Experience is an extraordinary personalized weightless adventure guided by Apollo-11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin.

The Platinum Experience is a luxurious and private adventure that offers guests the chance to float like an astronaut with Aldrin. The exceptional weightless journey includes a private dinner at Fleur de Lys, one of Las Vegas’ world-class restaurants inside Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino with Aldrin and fellow flyers. Very few people have the opportunity to experience zero gravity and even less will be able to do so with one of the few men whose own adventures in weightlessness sparked our imaginations. The Platinum Experience will allow guests to have nearly twice the amount of floating space than a regular ZERO-G flight.

On the day of the flight guests will take part in the following:

  • Experience weightlessness with Buzz Aldrin
  • Indulge in two times more floating space than a regular flight
  • Preflight training by official astronaut guide and ZERO-G professional team
  • Private transportation to/from the ZERO-G Training Facility
  • Champagne re-gravitation party
  • Personalized flight suit
  • Personal photography and video by world-class photographers
  • The chance to experience the rare and exalted state of weightlessness

The price of the exclusive ZERO-G Platinum Experience with Apollo-11 Astronaut Buzz Aldrin is $8,900 per person plus tax.

ZERO-G is the only commercial opportunity on Earth for individuals to experience true “weightlessness” without going to space. This unforgettable weightless adventure gives guests the chance to fly like Superman, flip like an Olympic gymnast and enjoy 10-times more hang-time than the world’s best basketball player. This is the identical weightless flight experience used by NASA to train its astronauts and by Ron Howard and Tom Hanks to film Apollo-13. The ZERO-G Platinum flight will take off at Signature Air Terminal at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas.

“The experience of true weightlessness was only available to a small elite group of astronauts and now with our ZERO-G Platinum Experience, guests will not only experience the thrill of weightlessness, but will do so with the legendary Dr. Buzz Aldrin,” said Dr. Peter H. Diamandis, CEO and Co-Founder of ZERO-G. “With Dr. Aldrin leading the Platinum Experience, it truly serves as a once-in-a-lifetime luxury adventure.”

Weightless flight is a rare, unique opportunity to experience the total absence of gravity. Beatrice of York, Professor Stephen Hawking, Martha Stewart, Billy Bush, Joey Fatone, Gavin Newsom, Burt Rutan, Miles O’Brien, and cast members of “The Apprentice,” and “The Biggest Loser” are just a few notable passengers who’ve flown with ZERO-G and proclaimed it to be one of the most thrilling experiences of their lives. Numerous astronauts including Buzz Aldrin and Anousheh Ansari also have enjoyed ZERO-G voyages. ZERO-G has played a major role in several blockbuster hits including Matrix 2, Matrix 3 and most recently, Sunshine.

About ZERO-G

Zero Gravity Corporation (www.GoZeroG.com) is a privately held space entertainment and tourism company whose mission is to make the excitement and adventure of weightlessness accessible to the public. ZERO-G is based in Las Vegas and Florida and is the first and only FAA-approved provider of weightless flight to the general public, as well as the entertainment and film industries; corporate and incentive market; non-profit research and education sectors; and government.

Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Las Vegas, ZERO-G is led by a world-class team of veteran astronauts and experienced business leaders. The company was co-founded by X PRIZE Chairman and space visionary, Dr. Peter H. Diamandis; veteran astronaut, Dr. Byron K. Lichtenberg, and NASA Engineer Ray Cronise. The team spent more than a decade working to bring the marvel of weightless flight to the public.

Since launching the ZERO-G Experience in September 2004, the company has conducted more than 175 weightless flights and flown over 5,000 members of the public, including celebrities and media personalities, corporate charters, science and math teachers, and individuals age eight to 93.

The ZERO-G Experience consists of a brief training session for passengers followed by a 90-minute flight aboard G-Force One, during which parabolic maneuvers are performed; Flyers experience Martian gravity (1/3-gravity), Lunar gravity (1/6-gravity), and zero gravity. The ZERO-G Experience provides its Flyers with twice the amount of weightless time achieved in the proposed sub-orbital flight into space. Parabolic or weightless flight is true weightlessness; it is not a simulation of any kind. NASA has been using parabolic flight to train their astronauts for the past 40 years.

ZERO-G operates under the highest safety standards as set by the FAA (Part-121) with its partner Amerijet International of Ft. Lauderdale Florida. Aircraft operations take place under the same regulations set for large commercial passenger airliners.
