On Monday, December 28, 2015, the industry came together to celebrate the launch of Women in Aerospace’s new website: www.womeninaerospace.org
WIA’s new website enhances WIA’s mission by bringing key information in an easily navigable form to its members, industry at large and the Government. “We launched our new website to allow our members to engage more effectively with stakeholders in the aerospace arena and to expand WIA’s educational, networking and professional development opportunities.” Stated Giovanna M. Cinelli, WIA Chair.
After collaborating with key leaders and members from across the industry, WIA chose a design representative of its membership and worked together to bring refined capabilities and enhanced functionality of its members.
Membership and industry feedback has been overwhelmingly positive with the website receiving a record number of hits within the first 24 hours of its launch.
We invite individuals to visit our new website and register for one of the many events scheduled for 2016, as well as to learn of other key ways you can become a part of WIA. Whether its WIA’s 6 week long Leadership Institute, “The Essentials of Leadership”, one of our professional development webinars, or our upcoming event on February 25th, “Senior Leaders 2016 Budget Discussion”, WIA enjoys a reputation for bringing its members high quality and relevant programming and networking opportunities.
We encourage you to join the thousands of WIA twitter followers @WomeninAero and to like us on Facebook. Our new website will feature a column from WIA’s Chair in addition to more interaction through social media.
WIA is dedicated to expanding women’s opportunities for leadership and increasing their visibility in the aerospace community. Our membership – women and men – shares an interest on a broad spectrum of aerospace issues, including human space flight, aviation, remote sensing, satellite communications, robotic space exploration, and the policy issues surrounding these fields.
