NASA’s Langley Research Center, Hampton, Va., has
selected Tessada and Associates, Inc., Newington, Va., to
perform logistics, administrative and scientific information
services for the center.

The award is a cost-plus-incentive fee contract with an award-
term provision. The work is valued at more than $117 million
over the next 10 years.

NCI Information Systems, Inc., McLean, Va., is teamed with
Tessada as their major subcontractor. Day-to-day work will be
performed at Langley. The work consists of support services in
the areas of logistics, human resources, financial management,
procurement, graphics, technical editing, photography and
duplicating. Work is expected to begin April 1, 2002.

Established in 1917 as the first national civil aeronautics
laboratory, Langley is a world-class facility for aeronautics,
earth science, space technology, and structures and materials
research. 70 percent of the center’s s effort is in
aeronautics research is working to improve today’s aircraft
and to develop concepts for future aircraft.

Langley supports the nation’s aerospace efforts by conducting
a dynamic program in atmospheric sciences, seeking a more
detailed understanding of the Earth’s atmosphere. Langley
researchers are also developing technology for advanced space
transportation systems and for small spacecraft and
instruments.
