VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. – Vandenberg successfully launched a Boeing Delta II rocket carrying a NASA imaging satellite from Space Launch Complex-2 here at 2:55 a.m., May 4. This was the second Delta II launched from Vandenberg this year.
The NASA Aqua Earth-observing satellite PM is designed to gather information about the Earth’s water cycle during a six-year mission to determine the effect, if any, of climate change.
