U.S. Air Force Space Command’s Space and Missile Systems Center awarded two Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contracts for SMC Acquisition and Financial Support (SAFS) May 13.

BTAS Inc., headquartered in Beavercreek, Ohio, and MCR Federal, LLC., headquartered in McClean, Va., were each awarded IDIQ contracts and a task order in the amount of $5,000.

SAFS provides services supporting SMC’s space development and acquisition mission. This support consists of financial management; earned value management; schedule analysis; cost estimating, research and analysis; acquisition planning and reports; budget analysis; administration; manpower, personnel and training; configuration management; and data management.

This contract award signifies a shift in service procurement from multiple-award blanket purchase agreements to multiple-award IDIQ agreements. Transition from the existing service contracts will continue over the next 12 months.
