The Space Foundation, in association with Space News and the Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales (CNES), will host the 2002 International Space Symposium in Toulouse, France. CNES, the French Space Agency, is the host sponsoring space agency for the gathering of global space leaders, to be held at the Centre de Congres — Pierre Baudis, September 10-13, 2002.

Developed in coordination with a broad international coalition of space agencies and organizations, the forum is designed to address business aspects of the $100 billion global space industry. Conducted since 1999, the event has been previously held in Washington, DC.

Participating agencies include ASI – Italian Space Agency; Austrian Space Agency; British Space Centre; Canadian Space Agency; DLR – German Space Agency; European Space Agency; Indian Space Research Organization; NASA; NASDA – Japanese Space Agency; ROSAVIAKOSMOS – Russian National Space Agency; U.S. Department of Commerce; and the United Nations Office of Outer Space Affairs.

Supporting organizations are Aerospace Industries Association; Aerospace States Association; American Astronautical Society; Asia-Pacific Satellite Communications Council; Astro Chile; China Space Foundation; International Astronautical Federation; International Space University; NASA Alumni League; National Space Society; Satellite Industry Association; Society of Satelllite Professionals International; Space Policy Institute, George Washington University; Space Transportation Association; Tsiolkovsky Russian Academy of Cosmonautics; TsNIIMash; and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Space Enterprise Council.
