Mobile satellite services operator Thuraya Telecommunications of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, is partnering with T-Mobile to launch a roaming service for Thuraya satellite telephone users in the United States, Thuraya announced July 17.
The service, which commenced July 12, allows Thuraya subscribers to make and receive calls and send and receive text messages over T-Mobile’s GSM network.
