Science Minister, Lord Sainsbury has unveiled the Government’s Plans for the UK space industry for the next 12 years. The draft strategy sets out proposals to make the UK the most developed users of space-based services in Europe.

The draft strategy provides a firm overarching rationale for investing in civil space over the medium term. This will enable the UK to challenge in world science, technology and markets and will help it to make important choices. For the first time it also sets out the necessary long-term perspective to 2015.
