The Aerospace Corporation has selected Heather Laychak as the new vice president and chief human resources officer, effective July 11, 2016.

“One of Aerospace’s five core values is commitment to our people,” said Dr. Wayne Goodman, senior vice president of the Operations and Support Group. “Heather will help emphasize this value and lead key strategic talent initiatives in the corporation.”

Laychak comes to Aerospace from Mattel, where she was the senior director of Talent Management. Prior to Mattel, Laychak held multiple positions at Northrop Grumman, including director of Human Resources for the Space Systems Division, director of Organizational Effectiveness for the Aerospace Systems Sector, and corporate director of Talent Acquisition. Prior to Northrop Grumman, she served as vice president of Human Resources and dean for the School of Health Studies at Robert Morris University.

Laychak holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Iowa and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Loyola University. Laychak was a founding member of the American Red Cross, Auxiliary Board in Chicago, IL. She currently serves as a board member for the National Kidney Foundation Southern California Chapter.

Aerospace’s Human Resource department includes multiple offices: compensation and benefits, employee relations, employee services, talent acquisition, organizational effectiveness, labor relations, and HR information systems.
