Tesacom of Buenos Aires, Argentina, said May 19 that it has been granted licenses to provide and sell Iridium satellite-enabled voice and data communications in Panama.
Tesacom intends to market Iridium services to Panama’s shipping, agriculture, manufacturing and mining industries.
McLean, Va.-based Iridium Communications operates 66 satellites in low Earth orbit and plans to being launching its next-generation Iridium Next constellation of satellites in 2015.
