Teledyne Technologies Incorporated announced that Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc., for the third year in a row, received NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center’s (MSFC) Contractor Excellence Award in the large business – service category.

Quality and safety have been hallmarks of Teledyne Brown’s 50-plus years of support to NASA and are among the reasons the company captured this honor. In addition, Teledyne Brown saved MSFC more than $22 million over the last six years. By hiring personnel with skill sets that relate to our work, using cross-training programs when applicable, and documenting improvements, TBE has controlled costs to almost 9% below plan.

The company currently supports payload operations integration for the International Space Station (ISS), operation and maintenance of Propellants, Pressurants and Calibration (PP&C) services, and Systems Development and Operations Support (SDOS) activities.

“It is an honor to be recognized three years in a row for the quality of our work for NASA,” said Robert Mehrabian, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Teledyne Technologies. “Teledyne is dedicated to helping NASA achieve its mission.”

Marshall Center Director David King presented the award, reserved for NASA MSFC’s top-performing contractors, to Teledyne Brown representatives at a recent breakfast.
