Workshops, Zero-Gravity Flight Experiences Will Help Teachers Connect Math, Science Curricula to Human Space Exploration and Inspire More Students to Pursue Careers in Science
What: The Northrop Grumman Weightless Flights of Discovery – a first-of-its-kind teacher training program, provides educators with first-hand knowledge and experience in the application of math, science and engineering principles aboard microgravity flights. Multi-city program will give teachers the tools and training to inspire and motivate the next generation of scientists, engineers and space explorers.
Who: 2006 Teachers of the Year from nearly all states and five U.S. territories, along with distinguished teachers from 24 countries, and several Alabama teachers affected by Hurricane Katrina.
