NASA Hires Texas Architects for Space Center Projects


NASA said March 22 it had selected four Texas firms to perform up to $49 million worth of architecture and engineering services at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, nearby Ellington Field and the Sonny Carter Training Center, and the White Sands Test Facility in New Mexico.

While some Texans are excited that Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SpaceX) is considering the state as the site for a commercial spaceport, company founder and Chief Executive Elon Musk says he has not seen much interest from state officials.
