Washington D.C. – Investigations and Oversight Subcommittee Chairman Paul Broun (R-GA) today sent a letter to the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) requesting a review of NASA’s export control policies.
“NASA develops and employs sensitive dual-use technologies that are protected by a variety of controls,” said Chairman Broun. “In light of allegations that NASA centers have allowed unapproved individuals access to sensitive technologies, I believe it is imperative that GAO reviews NASA’s export control policies and procedures to ensure that these technologies remain protected.”
