The dialogue begun last year between senior leadership of U.S. Strategic Command, appropriate component and support commands, the aerospace contractor community, federal officials and other leaders continues at Strategic Space 2004, scheduled here from 5-7 October at the Qwest Center Omaha Convention Center and Arena.
The national security space conference is presented by the Space Foundation and Space News in support of U.S. Strategic Command. Gen Thomas Moorman Jr., USAF (Retired), is special program advisor.
The inaugural Strategic Space 2003 was sold-out. An exhibit hall and more networking events have been added this year; however, the primary objective remains the same: fostering relationships and understanding among the command and its constituencies in support of America’s strategic forces. For registration and conference details, visit www.stratspace.org or call the Space Foundation at 1-800-691-4000.
Strategic Space 2004’s Opening Ceremony is co-sponsored by the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce; the Opening Reception is co-sponsored by Northrop Grumman; a Wednesday Networking Luncheon is co-sponsored by The Boeing Company and Booz Allen Hamilton; a Continental Breakfast is co-sponsored by Raytheon Company; and the Keynote Luncheon is co-sponsored by Lockheed Martin. Additional sponsors include ATK Alliant Tech Systems, Analytical Graphics, Inc., Computer Sciences Corporation, Honeywell, Space.com, and Space News.
The brand new Hilton-Omaha, located at 1000 Cass, will be the host hotel. This magnificent landmark is linked by a sky bridge to the new Qwest Center Omaha offering a unique gateway to the city and located three miles from Eppley Airfield, close to all that Omaha has to offer.
