HANCOCK COUNTY, Miss. – Spaces are filling fast for the spring 2003 Astro Camp Saturday sessions March 15 and April 12 at StenniSphere, the award-winning visitor center at Stennis Space Center, America’s largest rocket test complex. Astro Camp Saturday is a series of one-day camps for
future rocket scientists ages 9-12. The camps are held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. one Saturday each month during the school year. The upcoming sessions will explore the mysteries of the night sky, discuss humans’ goals for space exploration and show how the Space Shuttle is flown.

Campers at the March 15 session, “My Place in Space,” will learn about the importance of space exploration, and during the April 12 session, “How to Fly the Space Shuttle,” campers will learn about the NASA’s Space Shuttle orbiters.

Campers will also enjoy interactive exhibits in the museum. The cost is $50, which includes lunch and all supplies. Lunch is provided by the 1960s-style diner, the RocKeTeria.
