The following is a statement from Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX), Chairman of the Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Science and Space, on tomorrow’s confirmation hearing for Dr. Michael D. Griffin to be NASA Administrator:
“I am pleased to support the nomination of Dr. Michael Griffin for NASA Administrator. I have spoken with Dr. Griffin about working together to reauthorize NASA and implement our vision for NASA’s future.
“I am pleased President Bush sent us a nominee with a strong technical background. I look forward to his hearing tomorrow and, hopefully, a smooth confirmation. NASA, with proper guidance from the top, has a bold and bright future.”
