I would like to invite you to a Space Transportation Association
breakfast
with Congressman James Walsh, Chairman of the VA, HUD and
Independent
Agencies Subcommittee of the House Appropriations Committee. The
Breakfast
will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2001. Chairman Walsh’s
subcommittee
directly oversees the NASA budget for the House of Representatives.
Congressman Walsh will offer his insight on the recent NASA
appropriation
mark-up and what we may expect from the Appropriations Committee this
year
regarding NASA funding. Congressman Walsh is well regarded for his
thoughtful
and provocative positions pertaining to NASA and space in general.
The Space
Transportation Association is honored to have him as our August
Speaker.
The Breakfast meeting will be held at the
Capitol Hill Club, 300 First Street, S.E., Washington, DC. The Capitol South Metro station
is located
across the street for your convenience. Coffee will be served
at 7:30 a.m.
for early arrivals.
There will be a $20.00 fee for all STA members and a $30.00 fee for
all
non-members. We ask that you send a check in advance or pay at
the door. If
