HOUSTON – NASA astronaut Clay Anderson, a Nebraska native who returned to Earth on Nov. 7 after living and working five months aboard the International Space Station, will be available for satellite interviews from 6 – 8 a.m. CST on Thursday, Nov. 29.
Anderson was part of the Expedition 15 crew aboard the station after launching to the complex on space shuttle Atlantis June 8. During his stay on orbit, Anderson conducted three spacewalks. His work began the first expansion of the station’s living and working space in more than six years and set the stage for the addition of the European Space Agency’s Columbus Laboratory, targeted to launch in early December.

Anderson was born in Omaha and considers Ashland, Neb., his hometown. He received his bachelor’s degree in physics from Hastings College, Hastings, Neb., in 1981 and a master’s in aerospace engineering from Iowa State University, Ames, in 1983. He applied to the astronaut program 15 times before getting selected in 1998.
