CLEVELAND – The astronauts that delivered the Harmony module to the International Space Station will give a first-hand account of their flight on Monday, Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. to employees at Glenn’s Plum Brook Station in Sandusky, Ohio.
Crew members visiting include Commander Pam Melroy, Pilot George Zamka, and mission specialists Scott Parazynski, Doug Wheelock and Stephanie Wilson. They will present a video of their flight, talk about their roles and take questions from the audience.
STS-120 was the 120th shuttle mission and the 23rd time a shuttle visited the International Space Station. The mission continued station construction adding a key component and featured an unprecedented spacewalk to repair a damaged solar array. The 15-day mission landed at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, Fla., on Nov. 7 after traveling 6.2 million miles in space.
Crew members will be available for a brief question-and-answer session with the news media from 3 to 3:15 p.m.
