Space Angels Network, LLC, a national network of seed and earlystage investors focused on aerospacerelated ventures, and the Silicon Valley Space Business Roundtable (SVSBR), an organization that encourages the growth and development of aerospace-related businesses in the Silicon Valley, today announced the beginning of a collaborative partnership. Through this partnership, both organizations aim to foster continued growth of aerospace-related businesses.

“Partnering with the Silicon Valley Space Business Roundtable will expand Space Angels Network’s reach into this key community for new venture finance. We are excited to work together with the SVSBR team to attract new capital to aerospace ventures,” said Joe Landon, Managing Director of the Space Angels Network.

Initially, the partnership will see both organizations share resources and conduct joint planning sessions through which collaborative events will be planned. In the near future, the members of both organizations will engage in other collaborative efforts related to aerospace businesses.

“Space exploration is a highrisk business sector requiring especially creative entrepreneurship. SVSBR and SAN provide a neutral platform to bring together government, nonprofit and forprofit thought leaders to facilitate such innovative collaborative approaches for sustainable longterm success of space ventures,” said Florian Selch, Managing Director of the Silicon Valley Space Business Roundtable.

As a first step in this collaboration, both organizations are coproducing an exclusive reception featuring Astrobotic Technology, Inc. on July 21st at NASA Ames in Mountain View, CA. Astrobotic, the frontrunner in the Google Lunar X PRIZE competition, is pioneering the lunar frontier by developing commercial lunar robotic missions. Astrobotic will be showcasing its lunar lander structure at the event. More information is available at http://svsbr.org/.
