GREENBELT, Md. – Media representatives in the Washington Metropolitan area are invited to a sneak peak tour, check out available on-line resources and attend the upcoming Explore@NASA Goddard event set for Saturday, May 14, 2011, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. EDT.

NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md., will again open its gates to welcome the regional community for a day of fun-filled activities, hands-on demonstrations, entertainment, and food. Explore@NASA Goddard will showcase the work and people of NASA and Goddard with a focus on science, engineering, and technology.

On Friday, May 13, reporters may arrange an advance look at communication and control centers, laboratory and testing facilities along with exhibits and presentations the public will enjoy during the event. Media are also invited to cover the event as it happens on Saturday.
