Joint Propulsion Conference July 9-12 in Sacramento

Reston, VA — Ken Mattingly, Rear Admiral United States Navy (Ret) and famed Shuttle and Apollo astronaut, will deliver the July 12 luncheon address for the 42nd AIAA/ASME/SAE/ASEE Joint Propulsion Conference (JPC) and Exhibit at the Convention Center Exhibit Hall in Sacramento on July 9-12, 2006.

Sponsored by Aerojet, and organized by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), the 42nd Joint Propulsion Conference includes over 140 technical sessions and special panels featuring prominent speakers addressing NASA’s space exploration initiatives, Mars mission programs, Deep Space flight programs, entrepreneurial prized competitions, and propulsion history. As previously announced, the Monday keynote address will be given by Dr. Firouz Naderi, Associate Director for Programs, Project Formulation and Strategy at NASA’s and Caltech’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Co-located events include the Passport to the Future Educator Workshop, July 9-12, and the AIAA Regional Leadership Conference, July 13-14.
