LOS ANGELES AIR FORCE BASE, El Segundo, Calif. — The Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) Geosynchronous (GEO-2) spacecraft mission launch team will host a media teleconference Tuesday, March 12, at 10 a.m. PDT (1 p.m. EDT) to discuss the upcoming launch scheduled for March 19 from Space Launch Complex 41, Cape Canaveral Air Station, Fla.

The Launch support team will discuss details of the launch and will be available for questions.

Team members include: Col. Ron Fortson, Launch Mission director; Col. James Planeaux, director of the Infrared Space Systems directorate; Lt. Col. David Ashley, CCAFS’s 45th Launch Support Squadron commander; Dave Sheridan, Lockheed Martin’s SBIRS program director; and Tony Taliancich, United Launch Alliance’s customer program office director.
