SAIC Gets $10M To Help Plan U.S. Global Strike Command
Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) of McLean, Va., was awarded a contract worth as much as $10 million to provide requirements assessment and strategic planning for the newly created U.S. Air Force Global Strike Command, a Dec. 28, 2009, SAIC press release said.
Global Strike Command is a major command established in 2009 that recently assumed responsibility for the nation’s arsenal of intercontinental ballistic missiles. Under the one-year contract that includes an additional one-year option, work will be performed primarily at Global Strike Command headquarters at Barksdale Air Force Base, La.
