CLEVELAND–Robyn N. Gordon has been appointed to the U.S. government’s Senior Executive Service as Director of Center Operations at NASA’s Glenn Research Center, Cleveland.

In this position, Gordon manages organizational objectives and direction, resource allocation and overall institutional functions. She is responsible for the center’s human resources, training and development, procurement, security, technical services and logistics.

“Robyn is remarkably qualified for this position,” said Glenn Center Director Woodrow Whitlow Jr. “Her leadership expertise and analytical ability will serve to support Glenn’s cross-cutting institutional initiatives, strategic policy decisions and mission support initiatives.”

Prior to this appointment, Gordon served as Deputy Director of Glenn’s Center Operations Directorate and Deputy Director of the NASA Safety Center. She also held positions at NASA Headquarters as an analyst in the Program and Integration Office and as the Executive Officer to NASA’s Deputy Administrator. Other positions Gordon held at Glenn include, Chief of the Office of Diversity, and Chief of the Office of Human Resources and Workforce Planning.

Before joining Glenn in 2002, Gordon worked for the City of Cleveland and the Cuyahoga County Public Library where she attained leadership experience in human resources.

Gordon earned her bachelor’s degree in human resources management and a master’s degree in business administration from Cleveland State University, Cleveland, and completed the senior executive fellows program at Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

Gordon resides in Beachwood, Ohio.
