Redwire, a new leader in mission critical space solutions and high reliability components for the next generation space economy, announced today that it has selected Jacksonville, Florida for its corporate headquarters location.

“We are excited that Jacksonville will be the center of our innovation ecosystem as we continue to position Redwire as the leading developer of cutting-edge space technology and space infrastructure,” said Peter Cannito, chairman and chief executive officer of Redwire. “By strengthening our presence in Florida, we will have access to a skilled aerospace workforce, strategic partnerships, and operational infrastructure to support our growth.”

“Redwire is focused on delivering innovative space technology to support space exploration and national security priorities and Florida is uniquely positioned to provide the infrastructure to support the company’s growth,” said Lt. Gov. Jeanette Nuñez. “Today’s announcement is a testament to Florida’s leadership in supporting the nation’s aerospace industrial base by attracting innovative companies that are creating high-paying aerospace jobs and advancing space technology and space research.”

Redwire already has a significant existing presence in Florida through its subsidiary Made In Space, Inc. which previously relocated their corporate headquarters to Jacksonville in January. The company will look to expand on the existing operational footprint to align with its multi-year strategic growth plan.

To support its extensive technology portfolio, Redwire will continue to maintain a strong nationwide workforce, with facilities located in California, Colorado, Maryland and Massachusetts.

Redwire was formed, in June 2020, following the strategic acquisition of Deep Space Systems and Adcole Space by AE Industrial Partners, LP, a private equity firm specializing in Aerospace, Defense & Government Services, Power Generation, and Specialty Industrial markets. Redwire acquired Made In Space in June, adding the company’s innovative space manufacturing technology to Redwire’s technology portfolio.
