Raytheon Technical Services Company LLC (RTSC), a subsidiary of Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN), has received a $56.9 million sole source contract extension to support facilities and operations for astronaut training at NASA’s Johnson Space Center (JSC) and Sonny Carter Training Facility in Houston.
The extension, which is part of an indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity contract, supports operations at the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL) and Space Vehicle Mockup Facility (SVMF). The contract extension, which begins April 1, 2008, and ends Sept. 30, 2010, includes a one-year pre-priced option that could increase the contract value to $78.3 million.
