CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – April 30, 2012 – QinetiQ North America (QNA) named Mark J. Nappi as senior vice president and program manager of the Engineering Services Contract at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, the company announced today. In this role, Nappi will oversee the day-to-day activities of the contract and ensure all tasks are executed efficiently and effectively.

Before joining QNA, Nappi spent 17 years with United Space Alliance, most recently serving as vice president of aerospace services and site director. Prior to that, Nappi spent 10 years at Lockheed Martin.

“With 27 years of on-site experience at KSC, Mark’s prior experience will bring strong leadership and direction to our ESC team, enabling them to continue to bring cost-effective proactive solutions to our customer,” said Joe Broadwater, executive vice president and general manager of QinetiQ North America’s Aerospace Operations and Support business unit.

Nappi has a long history in Brevard County Florida, earning his Bachelor of Science degree in ocean engineering and a Master of Science in management business and organizational behavior both from the Florida Institute of Technology. He also serves on the board of directors of local universities, National Space Club and the United Way of Brevard.
