In a press release dated June 1, Israel-based Spacecom said TTComm will use 10 megahertz of Amos capacity at the 4 degrees west longitude orbital slot to provide very small aperture terminal, or VSAT, and other broadcast services in Central and Eastern Europe. Financial terms of the arrangement were not disclosed.
Spacecom currently operates the Israeli-built Amos 2 and Amos 3 satellites at 4 degrees east. Amos 5, under construction by ISS Reshetnev of Russia, is slated for launch this year and will cover Africa at the 17 degrees east orbital slot.
