Brent Abbott

Mr. Abbott is the CEO and Head of North American Operations for AAC Microtec/Clyde Space in the United States. Founded in 2005 by Craig Clark, Clyde Space recognized that CubeSats represented a game-changing approach to spacecraft design and production. Today, the company is committed to supporting the increasing number of commercial, military and science applications of CubeSats and small satellites via a process of continuous innovation and process development. In January 2018 Clyde Space joined AAC Microtec to combine and strengthen the companies’ position in the nanosatellite market. Clyde Space is a subsidiary of the Nasdaq First North Stockholm listed AAC Microtec organization and its customers include international universities, commercial companies, and government organizations. Approximately 80% of Clyde Space sales are outside of the European Union and over 95% outside of the UK.

John Carsten

Mr. Carsten is an international space systems consultant and VP Business Development/ Program Director for Teaching Science & Technology. He is a founding team member for Equatorial Launch Australia and the standup of Arnhem Space Centre which is the first commercial launch site in Australia. He has over 30 years of Space Experience ranging from Satellite design and rocket motors, to integrated multi-disciplinary space systems. He has flown on multiple missions with NASA’s reduced gravity flights investigating environmental controls, sensors and life science experiments at Johnson Space Center. He was the Lead Lecturer and developer of space engineering graduate courses for Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA). He is a current member of AIAA Space Systems Technical Committee.
