The National Space Society, an international grassroots organization advocating people living and working in thriving communities beyond the Earth, is actively soliciting applicants for the position of Executive Director, to be appointed by April 2, 2002. In this position, the appointee will act as the principal operations administrator of the Society and report to the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Society. The responsibilities for this position include actively promoting the policies and positions of the Society in a variety of public fora including the press, conducting outreach efforts to solicit new and renewing memberships to the Society, conducting strategic planning and financial management responsibilities including budgeting, fundraising, and managing the Society’s office in Washington, D.C., identifying and pursuing programs and projects that support the vision and mission of the Society, and acting as the daily spokesperson for the Society.
